EXPEDITION

Kayak expedition is a translation from the kayaking activities origin. Kayak expedition brings you to explore the beauty of nature, appreciating God's creation and learning more about wildlife. Kayaking expedition can be categorized in two main category. Short expedition only involved overnight kayaking trip that not more than three days, while long expedition involved kayaking trip that more than a week.

This is the early discipline of kayaking world. John Mc Gregor, the "Kayaking Guru" have promoting kayak expedition since the early 1900's. He have paddled all around Europe in his Rob Roy kayak.

Today, thousands of people around the world involved seriously in kayak expedition. Among the greatest achievement is Antartica Expedition, Atric Expedition and Antartic Ocean Expedition.

Kayaking in Malaysia is also the result of kayaking expedition in the early days. In 1980's, Ministry of Youth and Sports have launched the "Active Malaysian" programme that involved kayaking activities.

Since then, there were a lot of kayak expedition have been conducted either locally or internationally. Among international expedition that have been organized by MASCA are The Nusantara Expedition Series(involving 5 expedition from Malaysia to Indonesia), The English Canal Expedition and The Vancouver Island Expedition.

In the future, MASCA have planned lots of international expedition purposely to promote Malaysia to the rest of the world.
