CANOE POLO

Canoe/Kayak Polo can be played indoors or outdoors on any flat area of water where a suitable court can be marked out. Canoe/Kayak Polo has been played in countries all over the world for over 25 years. Internationally agreed rules (via the International Canoe Federation--I.C.F.) were introduced in 1987.

Here's is about canoe polo in Malaysia. For your information, canoe polo has been played in Malaysia since 1978, but it was only in Penang.

Canoe Polo has been introduce to6 all over Malaysia in 17 - 22 Mei 1996, when a basic canoe polo course been held at KOLA, Kenyir, Terengganu. But after that, there's no progressive from the course.

Then, in 9 - 12 November 1996, a National Basic Canoe Polo Instructor Course been held in Kangar, Perlis. This course is conducted by Mr. Mohamad Assyidiq from Persatuan Kayak Dan Mendayung Indonesia. After the course, the Malaysian canoe polo start developing.

Now Canoe Polo has been played by each state in Malaysia, the state are Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Perak, Kedah, Perlis, Sarawak, Johor, Terengganu and Pahang. MASCA now have organized at least five canoe polo tournament in Malaysia every year.
